Growth being stunt and how do u know if...?

i am 13 male and i am 5'6, i play sports everyday and i have a healthy diet and i weigh 57kg. On Wednesday, I had to lift 17kg of stuff in school for about 30 minutes but not straight, 45 minutes rest (school), this was the first time in my whole life that i had to carry this types of weights around school (school bag, sport bag, elect. guitar + amp=17 kg) but i did not lift them the whole entire, only when i had class changes and breaks.

Since Wednesday, I felt a soft pain by the joint (near or in the growth plates).

Do u think i stunted my growth? Are these small pains muscular or bone? Will i continue growing? Will i get scoliosis? Did I damage my growth plate? will i recover? how d u know u stopped growing? can u feel when the growth plates turn into solid bone or if they are broken? how much do u think i'll grow?Growth being stunt and how do u know if...?
Well, Im not a Dr but just my opinion NO, you did not stunt your growth. The only thing I have ever heard that could stunt your growth is poor nutrition especially in early childhood. Yes, you will continue to grow. males grow until they are 21. You will not get scoliosis. That is something you are born with. You could get a misalignment in your back or neck but that can be fixed by a chiropractor, which I highly recomend for anyone! I very seriously doubt you damaged your growth plate and I feel certain you will recover. You will not stop growing - you will know when you turn 21. It is hard to predict how much more you will grow but for 13 5'6 is pretty tall and I would think you will grow several more inches. Are your parents tall? My husband had his growth spurt as a teen (as all do) and still grew several inches after he turned 18! he is 6'4 now.

ok... I hope I answered all your questions but to sum it up-please do not worry, I think your just fine! If yur still having pain see your Dr or chiropractor!

good luck!!Growth being stunt and how do u know if...?

i dont think you stunted your growth. Its probably just an overuse injury of the growth plate. I used to get them alot in my ankles durring basketball season. Just try to lighten up on the weight and even it out on both sides of your body so not just one side gets the weight.Growth being stunt and how do u know if...?
